JR Larson’s video Migration presents a theatrical abstraction of floating bars shimmying, disappearing and forming anew in linear space.

This is a recording of an ephemeral event: the eyesore of traffic is captured and transformed into an ethereal soliloquy of light play using a makeshift camera obscura. The resulting grain of the image harkens back to a bygone era while offering the viewer the opportunity to meditate. Overall Migration is a refreshing break from our media soaked world. 120 Minutes.
